This website was created to help people improve their American English pronunciation. At the core is a series of videos explaining in detail how each sound is created, as well as a blog.
As I have created a new series of sound videos that use photos with parts of the mouth drawn in, I wanted to go over those parts of the mouth.
I wanted to let you readers know that all of the sound videos (How to make the 'ah' as in 'father' sound, etc) have now been updated. If you would like to see the older version of the video for a sound, simply go to that sound's page and scroll all the way to the bottom where you'll see:
Miss the old sound video? See it here.
And you'll be able to find what you're looking for!
Today I posted several new sound videos. Check them out!!

] ... 'eh' as in 'bed'

] ... 'ih' as in 'sit'
The goal here is to mimic sounds, don't worry if you don't understand every word you say! There is no transcript attached for this very reason. As you probably have ideas attached to certain words that might be wrong, this exercise focuses simply on imitating. From the trailer to the movie "Away We Go".
Here is the website with free speech analyzation software referred to in the video.
